Editing a three-minute travel film from six hours of footage
A simple workflow for turning a pile of clips into a short, watchable story — selects, structure, sound, then color.

The hardest part of a travel film isn't the edit. It's admitting that most of the footage won't make it.
Selects first
I do one fast pass and mark anything with movement, light or a moment. Everything else is gone.
Structure with sound
Pick the music early and cut to it. Structure follows the track: open quietly, build, release.
Color last
Grade only once the cut is locked. It's tempting to start here; it's always wasted time.
